About us...
Established in 1997, Merlin Playscheme is an independently run childcare provider based at Highweek Primary School in Newton Abbot. We welcome children from Reception age (4+) upwards, and from any school.
Our Team
All staff hold a minimum Level 2 childcare qualification, are DBS-checked, and First Aid trained. ​​Two team members are qualified to Level 3 in “Playing with the Elements”, a specialist outdoor learning course. ​Our manager holds exceptional qualifications across all areas of childcare and play.
Opening Hours
We are open every school holiday, except for Christmas and bank holidays.
Monday to Friday:
8:15 AM – 6:00 PM

Pricing
£12.00 for a flexible 5-hour slot (you choose the hours) ​
£17.00 for a full day ​
Please note: prices may vary for planned trips or special outings.
Snacks and drinks
We provide a healthy afternoon snack each day. Water is available at any time, however lunch must be provided for your child.

We are committed to supporting parents and carers in helping children meet their learning and development goals.
